Hotel overview

Situated in the heart of Quiroga, this 1-star hotel offers a straightforward and welcoming base for travelers exploring Lugo’s scenic surroundings. The rooms provide ample natural light and spaciousness, maintaining a clean and comfortable atmosphere despite their traditional style. Guests appreciate the functional design, including modern bathrooms with distinctive pale pink features that add a touch of character.

The friendly staff, notably the dynamic couple running the hotel, enhance the stay with attentive hospitality and helpful local insights, especially valued by those walking the Camino de Invierno. A lively cafe situated downstairs opens early and stays open throughout the day, making it a convenient stop for breakfast or tapas while soaking in local ambiance.

Though lacking recreational facilities like a pool or fitness center, the hotel’s location places guests within easy reach of cultural sites such as Pazo de La Cuesta and Museo Xeolóxico. It’s ideal for visitors prioritizing accessibility and a calm, hospitable environment in a walkable town.

“This place is old school but with the exceptional cleanliness of a new build. The pale pink bathroom features are fabulous. Smallish room but all one needs for a good night’s sleep on the Camino. Bar Quiper downstairs is excellent.”

“The service was good here from Verónica despite a small misunderstanding. I suggest customers check whether breakfast is included and when it comes to paying that it's clarified whether you've had breakfast or not!! Otherwise the owner José may chase you up with added vigour!! Having said all of that the albeit very short stay was comfortable and pleasant. The bedroom although traditional in its appearance and decoration was perfectly comfortable and spatious. The bathroom was ok. Overall it was nice and quiet. From the tiny bathroom window there was a, nice view of the Church against the mountain backdrop. Breakfast in Cafeteria Kiper was ok. I was told it's under separate ownership, probably best to change it's name then!. Service was ok and the coffee, tart and fresh orange juice was fine but a little expensive. The hotel is right in centre of Quiroga next to all services and facilities. I My room (number 1) is a good choice too for pilgrims doing the Winter Way. It's not easy to park nearby but there are some on street parking. Overall the hotel is between ok and good but it's good value for money. There's certainly room for improvement!!”

“This is a great place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms are modern, and the beds comfortable. There is a cafeteria downstairs which opens early in the morning and stays open for the whole day - something particularly useful for people walking the Camino de Invierno. Best of all, it is ran by a dynamic couple who will make you feel welcome and will help you in any way they can. Gracias Veronica y Vicente por su acogida y sobre todo por su ayuda con mi bici.”

“My family stayed in double occupancy rooms the first night and the next night we stayed in the family suite which was very nice. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and sunny. The hostal was in the center of a very walkable town. We had a great experience.”
